As you've probably guessed I'm finding it too hard and somewhat pointless to update this blog and the RaeGun blog. I do regularly update the RaeGun Blog and while there is business stuff there it's mostly my life stuff and I'll be adding more marissa and daniel stuff as opposed to just my stuff and sewing stuff. So if you want to know what's going on check over there and/or befriend me on Facebook, email or call me if you can't find me there. (p.s. facebook isn't nearly as evil as the media and schools make it out to be just join already, there are lots of privacy options)

I haven't abandoned the blog, really
A ton has been going on, we've been really busy, it feels non-stop. I've got plenty of pictures to post but I have to sort them. But in the mean time I really to keep up with the raegun blog and it's not all shop stuff.

Have I Ranted About My Condo Lately
I seriously hate the Home Owner's Association here errrr. So they sent a note with the pool rules. So I lure Tanya, my mama and the babies over with promises of swimming. (seriously you should have heard Tira's squeals of joy when I told her we could go swimming soon). And after we were all suited and sunscreen we unlocked the gate to a drained pool. Ahhh. It makes me SO mad. Luckily a run to Big Lots gave us loads of fun for the afternoon without 50 year old busy bodies peeping through the fence to see if we had violated any of their undefined rules.
Anyways for those of you I told that the pool was open it is not. But you are welcome to stop by my garden wadding pool if you want.

A List
1. We finally got another car, a 2008 hatch back impreza and we're loving it so far (it's been less than 24 hours haha)
2. We went to the new Star Trek film and it was LOADS of fun see my write up on the raegun blog
Daniel also made a Start Trek song that's pretty fun listen to it on his myspace (it's the one called Captain's Log) or see his blog for details of getting a free copy
2.5 We're on Lanna patrol again as my mom went back to Thailand for sugies funeral. Lanna is a crawling beast and extremely naughty and my mom reports that tons of people showed up for Aunty Sugar's funeral including lots of the street workers that she had befriended and helped through the years
3. We went on a short trip to Snowbird, Daniel had a conference and I tagged along. We learned that one of his coworker's little baby needs a new heart. PLEASE PRAY FOR HER and her family. Another little girl on the trip befriended Daniel quickly. During breakfast she requested to sit by him.
4. Speaking of girls loving daniel, tira and lanna are still big fans. The other day in spite of seeing him walk out the front door when I started taking them up stairs Lanna kicked her legs excitedly like she does when she sees daniel and Tira started calling him. Both the dorks thought he was upstairs and got exited.
5. My garden is looking good so far, hopefully we'll have food to share soon.
6. Today we took Daniels mama and Tanya to Diva's for brunch it was super yum. Happy Mother's Day. My mom will just have to celebrate when she gets back.

Weird Dreams and Violence
Above is the vid of us letting Tira be whacked in the face by swinging Lanna. She was fine but it was startling and if you're anything like Heidi you'll watch it 10 times in a row cracking up...or you're think we're awful people to leave little ones with (which you probably already think). As you can see I'm using the Picassa uploader instead of youtube because I don't want the wrath.
I also wanted to share my weird dreams
1. In the dream I wake up and go down stairs only to find the freezer door has been left open ALL night. Not only that but that there is food all over the kitchen. Like chicken and all kinds of stuff that belongs in the freezer. It turns out that daniel had dug his ice cream out of the freezer and left everything on the counter and the freezer door wide open. Very unlike real daniel but this morning as I looked at him asleep I couldn't help but be a little annoyed.
2. Daniel's BFFs Chase and Chase were into this new fashion of wearing short plaid shorts. Daniel wanted to be cool too but the only thing he had similar was his boxer shorts so he insisted on wearing those despite my reminder that the fly could just open up. And he wouldn't let me sew the fly shut. So there's the two of them in the record shop in plaid short shorts and daniel in his undies .

1. Lanna loves Daniel. Actually both of the girls do. Tira always asks for him if he walks out of the room and when I ask if I can give her a kiss she always asks for him to give her one too (which he never does, only goodbye and night night kiss, how mean is that)

Daniel Speaks
Some daniel-ism from today.
1.
D: "Hotel for dogs is playing at the dollar theater"
M: "Did Mark say that"
D: "No, it kind of intrigues me"
Really did daniel just tell me he wants to go watch hotel for dogs?
2.
D: "What's this weird vegetable on the windowsill?"
M: "It's called a potato"

Not so much words but for some reason he decided to keep on listening to the weird middle of the night talk show where the guy was talking about how he thinks it's dumb for people to wait for everyone to be served to eat. It was why should someone eat cold food for being cursed with serving food. We should tell people not to wait. No the courtesy is to prevent people from staring at the first served. Blah blah blah. And the host even went as far as to ask what he called "ethics" to call in and see if it was a cultural thing. Seriously we listened to this for at least 15 minutes.

The Count Down
It's been a busy, hectic, stressful weekend. Mike and crew were supposed to leave on Saturday but as is somewhat typical Tira and my parents still aren't here. They said they were in St. George an hour or so ago but that may not mean much. We're at least assuming that they should all get here tonight. Tanya and Lanna slept on our couch last night since we took our spare mattress to their new apartment expecting that the rest of them would be here yesterday.
I've got lots of pictures of our goings on but I thought I should keep everyone posted before I get to photo editing. They will all be here soon. We all have plenty to do but we're mostly just waiting, Tanya took the day off which seems to be kinda wasted but oh well hopefully they'll get here in the next couple of hours.

Catch Baby
Last week was exhaustingly full of fun. The Arizona crew was up with all the boys (all four boys) and we played a lot (with them and others) while actually trying to get work done. I've got a bunch of pictures but it's too late to take the time to edit them so I'll just share this video for now. I think this was my favorite part of the week watching Grant chuck the ball in Lanna's face saying "catch baby" and having her not mind a stitch. It's hard to hear him at first but he was saying it pretty forcefully (which the end of the video catches) it was awesome! It was great seeing all the boys and just hanging out with everyone.

Sticking in There
(watching Lawrence Welk, Daniel's Sunday routine, me not so much a fan but Daniel likes to watch the dancing)
It's been busy busy. Daniel and I have Lanna all day and thank goodness she's taken the bottle. He started his first official week of private support coordination (i.e. new job). The beginning of April we should see the first paycheck and we'll be able to start the new health insurance. I think it looks like a good start. He's on the phone a bunch and has moved in his files.
Tanya is planning on signing a work contract tomorrow, but then again they said it would happen last Monday too. But we're hoping that tomorrow really turns out so that we can get my parents and Tira on their way.
I've got a pile of tests to grade, a dissertation that has been ignored and a list of orders to fill. But I've gotten quite good at cooking and doing stuff with Lanna in the sling. I've put pictures of that here.
Everyone is healthy blah blah blah.

Just another one of those blogs...
Those ones that just show the babies. Well that's what happens when she's around ALL the time. Come on don't tell me you miss my pictures of my bread because I won't believe you. This was taken when Lanna was still a nice baby since then she has become naughty cranky baby because she's stuck starving with us all day and she's discovered face planting. She likes to lurch herself down into everything, hard toys, the edge of the bed, off someone's lap anything. It's driving me bonkers. She hasn't fallen onto anything besides her toys but she's seriously fast. I mean she knows how to sit up so I'm not sure what her deal is but I've told her she better snap out of it or I'll stop catching her.

Baby's First Snow and the Power of Boobahs
So it's been a week and tomorrow is Daniel and my first day alone with Baby Lanna. Things have been mostly good except for the fact that she won't eat without the boob. Luckily I bought a fancy booster chair and shoved a couple spoonfuls down here throat today. We'll see if it's good enough tomorrow when Tanya goes to her temporary job. I've got more pictures of the cuddle monster but here's her first snow for Auntie Annie and a video of how she loved boobahs the first instant she saw them.
Daniel definitely likes her even though he asked her where the nice baby that came 5 days ago was when she was freaking out. He always goes and looks at her when she's sleeping and does funny dances for her.

Sighting
I can't believe I forgot to post this, or am I repeating, well if I am I couldn't find it. So after seeing a bunch of dragon cakes on cake wrecks at Heidi and Daniel's I remembered that I had this picture to share. Yup it was parked in our parking lot for a couple of days. I think it is a satellite dish, an awesome satellite dish.

Every Day Tidbit
just a typical conversation after feeding daniel a huge empanada and side salad.
Me: You stuffed?
Daniel: Yea
Me: Me too, but I want someone to taste the bread.
Daniel: Bring me the bread with butter on it I'll eat anything.
So he's got a small slice and I cut a teeny bit just to taste it. The goal was to knock of the dark bread from cheesecake factory. I think it's yummy but not quite there yet. I did molasses instead of honey because I wanted it to be vegan and I wanted it to be a dark brown, I think honey would have been sweeter so maybe a bit of sugar. Yeah I know you guys care so much. Don't worry next week I should have pictures of baby Lanna to share so no more boring bread posts or news rants.
